Rules for MPI.net are the same as for any MPI library/installation. If
you configure your cluster to run standard (fortran or C/C++) MPI
applications it will work automatically (i.e. mpiexec will use and
allocate nodes from your cluster). On Windows, it means to install the
compute cluster pack (that contains MPI libs and services). On linux, to
install the MPI package of your choice.
