I am new to OOMPI. I'm developing an application using MPI on C++. I want to
send a vector(STL container) of a user defined class which contains two
pointers to integers. Basically those are pointers to two arrays which are
initilized in the constructor. Their sizes will be known only at runtime.
The size of the vector is also known only at runtime. I found that trying to
communicate the entire vector is not straightforward. What is the best way
to communicate a vector of a user defined data type. Is there a way I can do
it directly or, do I have to communicate each member of the vector
individually. Another option I have is to pack the contents, send them,
reconstruct the object and hence the vector on the receiving side!! Is there
a way around this? Searching for a way to do this was what led me to OOMPI !
But after reading the documentation I can't think of a simple way of doing
this. It would be very helpful if someone can help me out with this.
